Простые векселя, выпускаемые чаще всего на срок от 1 до 270 дней компаниями и финансовыми институтами в целях привлечения наличных средств для финансирования оборотного капитала. Выступают как основной инструмент заимствования для первоклассных заемщиков в США и Канаде. Введенная в декабре 1985 г. во Франции система казначейских билетов (billets de trésorerie) эквивалентна американской системе коммерческих бумаг.
